I thought I'd start off with something simple.  Here are the basic colors.

verde = green
amarilla = yellow
naranja = orange
azul = blue
morado = purple
blanco = white
negro = black

Unas uvas, dos plátanos, y una manzana.  Some grapes, two bananas and a apple.

Las uvas = grapes
Dos plátanos = two bananas
Una manzana = an apple.

Las frutas = fruits.

Unas uvas son moradas y unas uvas son verde. Los plátanos son amarilla y la manzana es rojo.

Some grapes are purple and some grapes are green. The bananas are yellow and the apple is red.
